Veggie Peels For Glowing Skin

I love to start the week off with fresh skin that glows. That’s why I adore using facial masks and peels. Vegetable peels offer a safe, gentle, and effective alternative to the harsh chemical peels that many women are investing in right now. Veggie peels are all-natural, vegan, can be very affordable, and are far less time consuming than the average chemical peel on the market today. It’s easy to make your own, too!

Use a citrus peel weekly to firm, brighten, and smooth skin for a refreshed and more youthful complexion.

Vegetable peels offer a wide variety of healthy skin benefits and can be made using different fruits to target specific skincare needs. Today I’m going to talk about why I love citrus fruit peels! The high content of vitamin C found in citrus offers incredible brightening benefits and leaves the complexion firm and renewed.

I snagged the Perfect C PRO Speed Peel by MyChelle recently and it has definitely proved itself to be the “Perfect” peel . I love that it truly is a ‘speed’ peel, as well.  You only need to leave it on for 30 seconds to 1 minute before gently removing with cool water. I prefer to use this peel at night as part of my evening routine because it perfectly preps my skin for my makeup the next morning! It also allows my skin to better absorb any other targeted night treatments I want to apply.

Vitamin C plays a vital role in collagen synthesis and overall skin health. Studies have even shown that vitamin C may help prevent and treat ultraviolet (UV)-induced photodamage.

Applying the Perfect C peel is super easy. I usually mix it up with my finger before spreading a thin layer across my face (avoiding the delicate eye area). I’ll feel a slight tingling after 30 seconds but I like to keep it on for the full minute. After removing with cool water, I follow with a toner that is high in Coq10 and a regenerative facial oil called “Phoenix” by Herbivore. In the morning I wake up to skin that is clear, toned, and glowing!

What are your tricks to achieving brighter skin?

Cheers to a glowing week, beauties!
